Norway's Klaebo wins men's 15-kilometre race at World Cup; Canada's Harvey 4th

QUEBEC — Johannes Klaebo won the men’s 15 kilometre classical style race just ahead of fellow Norwegian Niklas Dyrhaug at the cross country World Cup finals on Saturday.

Alexander Bessmertnykh of Russia was third while Canada’s Alex Harvey was fourth in a race that ended in a mass sprint.

Harvey was coming off a win in the sprint event on Friday.

Earlier on the women’s side, Marit Bjoergen edged Norwegian teammate Heidi Weng on the final stretch to win the women’s 10 kilometre event.

Bjoergen, unbeaten in the event this season, won by 0.6 seconds. Krista Parmakoski of Finland was third.

Emily Nishikawa was top Canadian in 37th spot.
